CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (12/07/17) – Morgan Contractors is honored to be the primary contractor in charge of site grading and excavation at the LG Electronics plant construction site in Clarksville, Tenn.
"This job is the largest Morgan has ever had, both in terms of the site work area and contract amount," said Cecil Morgan Jr., the company's secretary-treasurer. "We are excited to take on a commercial construction project of this magnitude."
Morgan Contractors started earthmoving at the 310-acre site in August 2017, thanks to an incentive package totaling $15.2 million for site preparation. Morgan is one of several Tennessee-based contractors to work on the project.
The washing machine manufacturing plant is expected to employ 600 people initially. Morgan Contractors is overseeing site preparation, sinkhole remediation, storm drain trenching and installation, as well as grading and excavation.
